Santa's Beard Party Game

Mustruninthefamily.com

My girls love any game that is messy.  This game is perfect for a daddy/daughter party, family reunion, or Christmas party (Santa's Beard).

You will need :
Marshmallows or Cheetos
*Goggles recommended for safety

Separate group into teams of two.  Have one person from each team sit in a row of chairs.  Then, put shaving cream on there face to make a beard.  The other team mate must be about 5' -10' away facing them. Give them an equal amount of mini marshmallows or Cheetos.  They must throw the marshmallows/Cheetos at their teammates shaving cream beard trying to get them to stick.  The team who gets the most marshmallows/Cheetos to stick wins.

Her marshmallows are hard to see in the picture, but look close they are there.  We played this at our family Christmas party.  We called it Santa's Beard, It was a big hit.

We played this in the summer with Cheetos for a daddy daughter party.  The contestants thought it would be funny to put the shaving cream all over their face.  They thought it would increase their odds.

If getting messy totally creeps you out, we have played it with shower caps on our heads.  We put the shaving cream on top of the shower caps.

Have Fun and don't be afraid to get a little messy!

Mother's Day Preschool Craft/Gift

mustruninthefamily.com

We made these Shrinky Dink necklaces in our Preschool Class for Mother's Day,
and they were too cute not to share.

I cut out the Shrinky Dink into circles (6 per page) by tracing a cup,
I used a regular hole punch to make the necklace hole.

I explained how important these necklaces were, and that they were gifts for their mothers.
So do your very best!

I gave a few ideas on what they might want to include.
Let the kids decorate them as they wished with permanent markers.

We followed the manufacturers directions on the Shrinky Dink packaging,
to shrink them in the oven.

Tied them off with ribbon for the necklace, but you could use a chain, cord or elastic jewelry string.

The kids asked if they could put beads on them.

We made these cute cards found on www.athriftymum.com which also includes a printout.
I used hand sized stamp pads, but you could use paint.

On the inside I had them write a cute message to mom on the right hand side and draw a picture on the left hand side.

Wrapped it up with a clear party bag with crinkle paper and a bow.
Hole punched the card in the corner and tied them together.

The pictures don't do them justice, they really turned out cute!

This could even be made as a key chain for Dad Father's Day
or have each child make one for a charm bracelet/necklace.

Think of the possibilities:
Mother's Day
Father's Day
Grandparent's Day
Valentine's Day
Teacher Appreciation
Christmas ornament
Military-To wear with Dog Tags
