How to Hang a Wreath on Vinyl Siding

So, I recently painted my front door and was worried that if I hung my Christmas wreath on it, the wreath might scratch up my paint job.  I still wanted to hang it on the front porch, but I didn't want to put a nail in my vinyl siding.  I checked at all the local hardware stores and nobody had anything to hang it with.  Then, I checked on-line and there were several options.  I found this No-Hole Hook on Amazon. There were many options to chose from, and I'm sure they are all just as good.  It just clips under the vinyl.

I really love this one, its small and hardly noticeable if I leave it out when there is no wreath.
I also hung a rather large Christmas wreath above my garage and the No-Hole hook worked great.

While searching the web, I even came across hooks that wrap around brick. And a much larger hook for heavier items like clothes, shoes, etc.

Our Elf Billy Bob Joe

Christmas morning elf.

We picked up our cute elf at the local craft store.
He was an ornament on sale for 60% off, making him $1.89
We left the string to hang him attached and have used it quite often, and he even came bendable.

Our kids are older and we all take turns posing our elf to see who can be the most creative.

How did that happen? Someone woke up looking like Rudolph.

How many elves does it take to change a light bulb?

I'm becoming more of a cat person everyday!

Can I do it again?

Giddy up!

Popsicle Stick Nativity Craft

www.mustruninthefamily.com

Here's a classic Popsicle stick craft bringing the joy and true meaning of Christmas.

It's easy and quick for a great church, school, friend or family time craft.
Easy enough for your young children, but something even the older kids will enjoy making.

mini craft stick

You'll need regular and mini sized craft sticks.
(If you want to really make it interesting you can use jumbo craft sticks for the stable roof or floor.)

Arrange your sticks like the picture shown below.
The angel is the stick above the roof.
Mary, Joseph and Baby Jesus are the three stick in the middle.
Optional: You can cut the angel or people is you want them shorter.

Use broken or cut toothpicks or craft sticks in an "X" shape for the manger.

Paint or color them with permanent marker, with a fine tip sharpie for drawing the eyes.
I would recommend low temp hot glue guns, but white glue will work.

Angel

Optional: Embellish with tinsel for the Angel's halo, and twine/ribbon bows for that extra special look.

Make a loop out of twine to hang your nativity on the tree.
